Manufactured malignant hate

My favorite bumper sticker from the previous election cycle.

These are extremely difficult times.

It’s impossible to understand why someone would intentionally fly an airplane into a building in order to kill thousands of people at once, and yet it has happened. Why does someone become so angry that he wants to randomly spray bullets into a crowd of innocent bystanders, or people at a music concert? Why would someone rent a truck and deliberately run over pedestrians out for a walk, killing women and children? Has the world gone completely mad? Actually, I believe millions of people have lost their minds, for the most part. The remainder of this article will list the primary reasons I’m making that claim. The more important question is why have so many people become irrationally angry?

I’ve decided to blame three primary sources of manufactured outrage and hate: academia, the media, and politics.

Faculty at major colleges and universities are overwhelmingly dominated by liberals who are political activists and literally won’t permit conservative thought on campus. As a result, current generations are no longer acquiring useful and relevant knowledge through advanced education. Instead, students are being indoctrinated into liberal groupthink, and most are incapable of logic, reason, or independent thought. The college campus has not only been declared a “gun-free” zone (except for armed robbers there to prey on unarmed students) but free speech has been limited to designated areas. Conservative thought (including logic and reason) has been virtually banned, in favor of political correctness.

Take, for example, the “gender” argument. For my entire life, science has decreed that people born with XX chromosomes are female, and XY chromosomes are biological males. Males produce sperm, and females produce eggs. This used to be taught in Biology 101, and even to young children, when Bill Nye “The Science Guy” provided solid basic science education with his entertaining programs popular in the 1990s. Sadly, today Nye peddles total garbage while audaciously claiming he intends to “save the world,” and the media has allowed him to do it. If anything, the world needs to be saved from people like Bill Nye, certainly not by him. If you dare to disagree with Nye about climate change, he’d like you to be thrown into prison. Kim Jong-un would be proud.

Back in the days when Nye wasn’t a raving lunatic and actually produced solid work teaching basic science education, it looked something like this:

Interestingly, when Netflix acquired the rights to Nye’s original program, the above segment was completely cut from that episode, probably because it no longer fits with Nye’s current career as a television personality.

Today Nye is “politically correct” and subscribes to the idea that biology doesn’t matter and you can be whatever you want–which, according to the video below, includes a “tall, flirty pansexual wood sprite”, whatever the hell that is.

WARNING: If you watch the video below, it’s two minutes and 45 seconds of your life wasted that you’ll never get back. Trust me, you don’t have to listen to it…just read the caption with the lyric Rachel Bloom is singing. The rest of the song doesn’t get any better.

“My Sex Junk”, indeed.

A person born with XY chromosomes and a penis can be surgically castrated and given estrogen, but he can never give birth to a child. Likewise, a woman born with XX chromosomes can never produce sperm and impregnate another woman. It simply isn’t biologically possible, no matter what drugs you take or what surgeries you have to modify the body you were given at birth. I believe in showing every human being respect, but I also believe in the truth. There isn’t “my” truth and “your” truth, there is only THE truth. We may not always know the whole truth and we sure as heck don’t always tell the whole truth when it suits our purposes, but that doesn’t mitigate or diminish the truth. Nobody owns the truth. Truth is purely objective. It’s important to seek truth, and to recognize truth when we find it.

Modern academia can publish all the studies and “scientific” papers in peer-reviewed journals they want, and it won’t change the truth. There is no gender spectrum; we can either be male or female genetically, but not both. While there is a medical condition called hermaphroditism in which some children are born with some ambiguity in their sex organs, but to the best of my knowledge hermaphrodites are able to function either as biological males or females due to their chromosomes, but not both. In other words, a hermaphrodite born with XY chromosomes might be able to impregnate a woman, but should not be able to get pregnant and give birth.

In any event, the vast majority of modern cases of people trying to “identify” as another gender don’t have this condition, so the exceptions don’t apply to the rule. Basically, if you’re built like a linebacker but demand that I call you Debbie, I’ll probably humor you because crazy people tend to frighten me. That purse didn’t seem to match his male aggression.

I actually feel sorry for that angry man in the video who thinks he’s a woman. I’m also glad I wasn’t there because I’m fairly sure I would have made things worse if that’s even possible by suggesting this man seek medical help, preferably in the form of psychiatric treatment as opposed to sex reassignment surgery. Of course I would have created a quandary in his troubled mind when threatened with violence and asked to step outside, because my reply would be, “I can’t hit a girl.” In other words, if he persisted with his challenge to a fistfight, he’d be admitting he’s a man, not a woman. Can’t have it both ways. But why would this man think that wearing his hair long and carrying a purse changed into a woman? He’s been bombarded with messages that confirmed his delusion rather than correcting it.

Modern academia harms society because they overcharge egregiously while providing mediocre educations and filling young skulls full of politically correct garbage instead of useful and relevant knowledge. The media harm society because they no longer do their jobs and simply report the news. They spin and manipulate information in order to shape public opinion. Fake news rules the day, because the goal is not to inform, but to persuade. For example, only a few days ago, after the most recent shootings in Dayton and El Paso, the New York Times published a headline that read, “TRUMP URGES UNITY AGAINST RACISM.”

The headline was completely accurate.

In fact, there is plenty of evidence that existed long before Donald Trump ever became President proving that he is not a racist, from his well-documented relationship with Jesse Jackson and his Rainbow-PUSH coalition, which happened to be one of the main reasons I personally opposed Trump as nominee until he won the nomination. Jesse Jackson is a race-baiting opportunist and a con man and I don’t like him, so I didn’t trust Trump’s judgment. But that’s all water under the bridge at this point, because Donald Trump is my President.

However, the “newspaper of record” was immediately bombarded by outraged complaints from liberals who simply cannot and will not tolerate any positive reporting on President Trump. As a result of the outpouring of criticism, executive editor Dean Baquet said the person who wrote the (liberal) offending headline felt sick and terrible about telling the truth. The headline was subsequently changed to read, “ASSAILING HATE, BUT NOT GUNS”, which failed to make anybody happy.

Think about that for a moment–liberals hate Donald Trump so much that literally nothing positive or good can ever be allowed to be said or printed about him. If I admit that I like some of the things that Donald Trump has accomplished as president, I’ll be branded a racist and a white supremacist by some of the people who oppose him. If I admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of Barack Obama, I’ll be called a racist for sure by some people, who won’t care one whit that I voted for Ben Carson over Trump.

In spite of the fact I never voted for Barack Obama and strongly opposed many of his policies and practices as president, I can say several nice things about him: Obama is intelligent. He is articulate. He is a very handsome man. If you can’t stand Donald Trump, can you do the same? Is your hatred absolute? Frankly, I’d be surprised at this point if any liberal might be found who was willing to say something nice about Donald Trump. That degree of vitriol is difficult to comprehend.

That’s pretty much all I’ve got to say about academia and the media at the moment, and what can I say about politics? It has become a bloodsport where winning and power are all that matter. People I once liked and even admired (like Paul Ryan) were corrupted by power and compromised their principles while others (Trey Gowdy) were repulsed by what they saw and frustrated by their inability to make meaningful changes that would drain the political swamp.

Modern politicians do not serve for the public good. They serve to get reelected. They serve to get richer and attain more power. They confiscate our money through taxation and squander it frivolously on pet projects that benefit the donors who turn around and contribute large donations to their political campaigns. If you vote Democrat, you probably think that people who vote Republican are all evil, rich, greedy, racist, homophobic…you get the idea. If you vote Republican, you probably think most Democrats are lazy, socialists, liberals, atheists…again, you get my point.

Why is this? We’ve been conditioned to think a certain way, according to conventional stereotypes. If you’re a conservative, you’re a Christian–except I’ve belonged to the same church as avid Democrat voters. If you only listen to the politicians in Washington, you’ve been conditioned to believe everyone who doesn’t agree with you is evil. Remember when the media was recently making a big deal out of actors and actresses paying bribes to get their children into elite colleges and universities?

Why are the children of these politicians getting preferential treatment?

The answer should be obvious: academia, the media, and politicians all consider themselves part of the same class of intellectual elites. They honestly believe they are better than the rest of us. They think they are entitled to rights and privileges that we aren’t, and that they should be able to spend our money and tell us how we should live our lives, while they do as they please. Why has their divide-and-conquer strategy worked so well? For the most part, it’s only been successful because we’ve allowed it to be. The ruling class needs liberals to hate conservatives, the poor to despise the wealthy, and society in general to remain perpetually divided by envy, race, or religion.

Otherwise, we might focus our attention on the ruling class as the real source of our problems.
