The end of the world as we know it

My favorite bumper sticker during the 2016 presidential election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump was this one reflective of my reluctance embrace of either candidate:

Prior to his election, I wasn’t the biggest fan of Donald Trump. On the other hand, I couldn’t think of a worse choice to oppose him in the general election than Hillary–even socialist, never-had-a-real-job-in-his-life Bernie Sanders stood a better chance. Thank God the fix was in, and Clinton became the nominee.

To my pleasant surprise, Trump has turned out to be a much better president than I could have imagined. He began conversations with North Korea, lowered taxes, and created an economic boom after eight years of malaise under Obama. As a result of his success, I’ve grown to appreciate the accomplishments of President Trump. Just imagine what he could get done if virtually everybody in Washington wasn’t actively opposing his efforts.

Under normal circumstances, I would have expected a period of happiness and economic prosperity to follow. Unfortunately, we do not live under normal circumstances anymore. We live in a world where special prosecutor Robert Mueller has been given carte blanche to ruin the lives, finances, and reputations of American citizens like General Michael Flynn and Roger Stone for the crime of supporting President Trump. The infamous “Steele dossier” used to create this sham investigation/witch hunt was a political hit job that any competent FBI director would have recognized for what it was–a bogus, political hit piece. The federal government under the Obama administration was used as a political weapon against the incoming Trump organization. This knowledge should scare the hell out of any sane person. Unfortunately, most people don’t understand this because they rely on mainstream media sources such as CBS/NBC/ABC News, The Washington Post, The New York Times, etc. The media controls the narrative, and they are so in the tank for the Democratic Party it isn’t funny. They are Big Brother’s propaganda outlet. Don’t take my word for it. Just watch the embedded video below.

The question is, who is writing their scripts? George Soros? Jeff Bezos?

The talking heads are absolutely right for once: this sort of groupthink is extremely dangerous to our democracy, especially considering the fact we actually live in a Constitutional republic.

Probably the most brilliant writer who has ever lived was Eric Arthur Blair, better known to the world as George Orwell. He was prescient about the future, brilliantly coining the phrase “doublethink” to refer to an ability to believe two contradictory ideas at the same time. It seemed ludicrous, when I read 1984 in 1978, to think that Big (Brother) Government could ever convince people that absurd, oxymoronic phrases such as “Ignorance is Strength” and “Freedom is Slavery” make sense.

But it has happened.

Now we refer to the ugly business of abortion by the infinitely more palatable euphemism “reproductive rights.” In the state of New York, when the new law passed that not only allows abortion up to the baby’s due date, it permits the legal murder of a child born as the result of a botched abortion, the vote received a standing ovation.

In other words, evil was applauded. Our politicians and entertainers have been thoroughly corrupted. While the politicians in New York were busy legalizing the murder of innocent children, Hollywood celebrities and film critics were cheering a propaganda “documentary” about the Satanic temple depicting the Satanists as the good guys, and conservative Christians as the existential threat to society. White Christian men are the only real bad guys in this modern bizarro world. We are perceived by liberals to present a greater threat to America than an Al Qaeda terrorists.

I’ve always worked from the assumption “my” world would end before “the” world as we know it, but oddly enough as my days get shorter, my confidence has waned not due to vanity, but the world’s collective insanity.

It’s the end of the world as I’ve always known and loved it.

But unlike the cheerful song lyrics, I don’t feel fine. In my opinion, if we’re all just going to sit back and let liberals claim Christianity is evil and Satanism is good without speaking up to defend our faith and our God, I say it’s past time to bring on that giant meteor, and a thorough cleansing via mass extinction.

Quite frankly, none of us deserve to live.
